Clarence has loved art her whole life, both drawing and painting and visiting art museums and galleries. While Clarence has always found time for her artistic passion, she turned it into a business by creating custom stationery and invitations. These projects range from full wedding suites and hand-painted maps to children’s stationery and holiday cards.

More recently, Clarence began exploring ways to capture the movement of birds and butterflies. This subject matter is heavily influenced by the artist’s time spent outside at the beach. Combining color, pattern and texture, Clarence cuts out painted shapes and layers them to create a sense of movement.

 

Clarence participated in GreenHill Center for North Carolina Art's Winter Show in 2019. She also exhibits at O'Brien Gallery in Greensboro, North Carolina.
